Devel+ SA, created in 2013, took over the manufacturing activities of BERTEMES SA, which had been active in sector for over 50 years.
At the outset, the Bertemes business was a family-run firm situated in the forest area of Vielsam in Belgium. It became a limited company in 1981, developing marketing and sales activities for treated wooden poles manufactured by large Belgian companies that specialise in timber treatment.
Research and development (R&D), implementation and total quality control both in the laboratory as well as in the field combined with the use of premium quality raw materials have resulted in the establishment of high-quality products with an unrivalled reputation.
The conformity and quality of the finished poles have enabled the company to position itself as a privileged partner of national power utility companies in West Africa, where numerous electrification projects involving the construction of overhead telephone lines are under way.
